<image:title>Collections - Linen Table Runner and Reversible Pad (Detail)</image:title>
<image:caption>A color coordinated linen runner and quilted mat for a handmade wooden sideboard. As a commissioned piece, these two pieces were designed for maximum flexibility to protect and decorate this handsome sideboard. Inspired by mountain views in western North Carolina, historic old houses, a love of trees and their intricate branches, and the Carolina blue skies, this piece was conceived as a tribute of color complementing Kathryn's wine glass and blown glass collection and other colorful artwork in her living and dining areas. Many layers of hand dyeing, silkscreening, color discharge, hand painting and stamping contribute to the overall effect. The quilted pad is reversible and can be used on either side underneath the linen runner, and both can be used separately as well, depending upon the mood!! For potluck dinner parties, the the added protection of the quilted pad will keep the wooden surface unscarred. Linen runner: 13.5" wide by 92" long. Quilted pad: 20" wide by 72" long (the dimensions of the sideboard top).</image:caption>
